Day 9:

Burrowed gently in large black leather recliner, stretch my wings
rest my bent neck against the kinks in the cushions.
The old fireplace keeps me warm.
Winter awaits outside.
Birds have fled the scene,
ice curls over rain gutters
roof tops, burrows inside wheel wells
of cars stuck against slippery curbs.
Trees hybernate, die temporarly.
Silence reigns over us.
I shall stay
in
this
cave.
